In late 2015 after 3 albums, 1000’s of gigs and festival appearances with ‘The Ben Eaton Trio’ Ben relocated from Australia to London. In late 2016 he started tracking for his new project in Lyre Studios in London. Taking a different approach of using a stripped back ‘Live’ attitude, keeping instrumentation and overdubs minimal, and using his recent move to the UK as inspiration, the fresh tracks open a new chapter in his solo career. The 5 track release which resulted titled “Mountaintop’ is brimming with the fire and virtuosic guitar flair which has become his trademark. Tackling such diverse topics as politics, religion, sex, death and hope ‘Mountaintop’ is scheduled for release at the end of the year.
